01How to delete your account
To delete your Coworking OS account, email hello@hemanth.co.in from the email address you sign in with, with the subject Delete my Coworking OS account. Tell us the name of the coworking space you use Coworking OS with.
In the Coworking OS app on Android or iPhone, More → Delete my account opens this page.
We reply within 2 working days to confirm the request, and complete it within 30 days. If you can no longer use that email address, say so and we will confirm it is you another way before deleting anything.
02What is deleted
- Your sign-in account: email address and password.
- Your name, phone number and profile details.
- Your device's push-notification address.
- For staff: your attendance check-ins, including the location saved with each one.
- For tenants: your tenant portal sign-in and the contact details the coworking space holds for you, except where they must be kept (below).
03What may be kept, and why
Coworking OS is used by coworking spaces to run their business, and each space is responsible for its own records. Invoices, receipts, payment records and signed agreements that a space is required by law to keep (for example under Indian tax rules) stay in that space's books, with the name and details needed on them, for as long as the law requires. They are not used for anything else.
Deleted data can remain in encrypted backup copies, which are kept only to recover from accidental loss, until those backups are themselves removed. It is never restored into the app except to recover from such a loss.
04Deleting some of your data, keeping your account
You can also ask for particular data to be deleted while keeping your account, for example your phone number, your attendance check-ins and the locations saved with them, a photo you uploaded, or your push-notification address. Email hello@hemanth.co.in from the email address you sign in with, with the subject Delete some of my Coworking OS data, and say what you want removed.
The same timings apply: we confirm within 2 working days and complete it within 30 days. Records a coworking space must keep by law (above) stay in its books.
05Closing a whole organisation
An organisation's owner can ask us to close its Coworking OS account and delete its data by writing to hello@hemanth.co.in. We can send a full export first.
