Coworking OS vs Nexudus: which fits an Indian operator with 20 to 300 members?

Nexudus is one of the best-known coworking platforms in the world. Coworking OS is built in Hyderabad for Indian spaces. Here is an honest look at where each one fits, so you can pick without a sales call.

Two different starting points

Nexudus is an established global platform that has grown over more than a decade to serve operators across many countries, including large multi-location brands. It is broad and deep, with a large marketplace of integrations, white-label member apps and a wide set of modules. As of its public pricing pages, plans are generally quoted in US dollars; check their site for current figures.

Coworking OS started as the internal tool of Spellbound Coworking in Hyderabad and is used there every day. It is priced in rupees, collects rent through UPI and Indian payment gateways, sends reminders from your own WhatsApp Business number and raises invoices that carry your GSTIN. It is built for the way a shared office in India actually runs.

Neither is "better" in the abstract. The question is which one fits a space with 20 to 300 members in an Indian city, with an Indian bank account, Indian members and an Indian CA.

Where Coworking OS is stronger

Money in rupees, paid the Indian way. Every invoice carries a Pay Now link that opens UPI, cards and net banking through Razorpay, Cashfree or Zoho Payments. Members pay in one tap. Part payments and arrears are recorded cleanly and carried forward, and receipts go out the same day.

Reminders on WhatsApp, from your number. Reminders come from your space's own WhatsApp Business number, so members recognise them and reply in the WhatsApp inbox inside the app. Billing autopilot handles the monthly routine.

GST without workarounds. Invoices carry your GSTIN, with a separate invoice series per centre. Books and P&L per bank account keep your CA happy at quarter end.

Agreements that match Indian practice. Leave-and-licence agreements are drafted from your template, sent and e-signed online, with deposit and notice period tracked against the cabin.

Simple pricing. One plan ladder in rupees, every feature in every plan, unlimited staff users, and a 30-day free trial with no card. You are not buying modules.

Support from an operator. You message the team on WhatsApp and get answers from people who run a coworking space themselves.

Where Nexudus is stronger

Scale and reach. If you run centres in several countries, bill in several currencies, or plan to, Nexudus is built for that and Coworking OS is not.

Integrations marketplace. Nexudus generally offers a large catalogue of integrations with access control, printing, accounting, CRM and visitor systems. Coworking OS covers the essentials natively, offers door-lock integration on request and exports your data any time, but it does not have a marketplace of that size.

White-label apps. Nexudus typically offers fully branded member apps under your own name. Coworking OS offers a white-label member app on request; the standard member app carries the Coworking OS brand. Web app live · Android in Google Play testing · iPhone awaiting Apple review.

Visitor management and enterprise features. For reception kiosks, detailed visitor flows and large-tenant requirements, a mature global platform is the safer choice.

Switching

Moving to Coworking OS is a short job for a space of this size. Export your members, cabins and current invoices from Nexudus or your spreadsheet as Excel or CSV, import them in Members, and a set-up checklist walks you through plans, centres, GSTIN and payment gateway. Most spaces are sending live invoices within a week.

The 30-day free trial needs no card. Run one billing cycle alongside your current system, compare, and decide. If you leave, your data exports any time.

Is Coworking OS a Nexudus alternative for India?

Yes, for spaces with roughly 20 to 300 members in India that want rupee pricing, UPI and WhatsApp built in, and invoices with your GSTIN without a workaround. If you need multi-country billing or a large integrations marketplace, Nexudus is the better fit.

Does Coworking OS support UPI and Indian payment gateways?

Yes. Pay Now links work through Razorpay, Cashfree or Zoho Payments and accept UPI, cards and net banking. Cash and bank transfers can be recorded by hand and receipted the same way.

Can I import my data from Nexudus?

Yes. Export members, cabins and invoices to Excel or CSV from your current system and import them in Members. Our team helps with the mapping on WhatsApp during the trial.
