A note on fairness. We make Coworking OS, so we list it first. For every other product we describe only what is generally known from their public pages, and we say "check their site" where details change. Pricing and features of other tools change over time; confirm them directly before you decide.
Why Indian operators look for a Nexudus alternative
Nexudus serves operators in many countries, from single sites to large multi-location brands. It is broad and deep, with a large integrations marketplace and white-label member apps. As of its public pricing pages, plans are generally quoted in US dollars; check their site for current figures.
The reasons Indian operators look elsewhere are usually practical rather than about quality:
- Currency. A dollar subscription moves with the exchange rate, and for a space with 30 to 100 members the monthly cost can feel large against rupee rents.
- How members pay. Most members in India pay by UPI. Operators want a payment link and a UPI QR on every invoice, through an Indian gateway.
- How members talk. Reminders and receipts work best on WhatsApp from the space's own business number, not only by email.
- GST. Invoices need your GSTIN, the SAC, the place of supply and a clean invoice series that your CA accepts.
- Agreements. Leave-and-licence agreements with deposits, lock-ins and notice periods are the norm for cabins.
If those five matter more to you than a large integrations catalogue, the alternatives below are worth a look.
What to check in any alternative
- Is the price in rupees, and is every feature you need in the plan you would buy?
- Can members pay by UPI through an Indian gateway, and does the payment get matched to the invoice?
- Can reminders go out on WhatsApp from your own number?
- Do invoices carry your GSTIN, SAC and place of supply, with a series per centre?
- Can you draft and e-sign leave-and-licence agreements and track deposits and notice periods?
- Are meeting rooms and desks bookable online, with free hours for members?
- Can you export all your data at any time?
- Who answers when something breaks, and how quickly?

Where it is weaker: it bills only in rupees and has no large integrations marketplace. Door-lock integration and a white-label member app under your own brand are available on request rather than off the shelf. Web app live · Android in Google Play testing · iPhone awaiting Apple review. See our full Coworking OS vs Nexudus comparison.
2. OfficeRnD
A widely used platform for flexible workspaces, with a separate product line for hybrid offices. It has a broad feature set, integrations with accounting and access control, visitor flows and detailed reporting. Plans are generally quoted in foreign currency, with larger operators quoted individually; check their site for current pricing. A good fit for multi-location and enterprise-facing operators. Check Indian gateway, WhatsApp and GST invoice support before you commit. See Coworking OS vs OfficeRnD and our OfficeRnD alternatives page.
3. Optix
A mobile-first platform known for its white-label member app and clean booking flows, generally popular with spaces that sell desks and rooms by the hour. Plans are typically quoted in US dollars; check their site. Worth a look if a branded app is your priority. See Coworking OS vs Optix.
4. Cobot
A long-running, straightforward tool with roots in Berlin, popular with independent and community-led spaces. Memberships, invoicing, bookings, a member portal and a public API. Plans are typically quoted in US dollars or euros by member count; check their site. See Coworking OS vs Cobot.
5. Spacebring
An app-first platform built around a branded member app, with bookings, memberships, a community feed and payments. Generally chosen by spaces that put community and app experience first. Check their site for current pricing and for Indian gateway, GST and agreement support. See Coworking OS vs Spacebring.
6. Zoho plus spreadsheets
Zoho Books or Zoho Invoice for GST invoices, a spreadsheet for members and cabins, a shared calendar for rooms and WhatsApp by hand. It is priced in rupees and handles GST well. The cost is time: reminders are typed one by one, bookings are chased, and agreements live in email. Reasonable under about 15 members. Our software vs Excel and WhatsApp page goes deeper.
When to stay with Nexudus
Stay if you bill in several currencies or plan to, run centres in several countries, or depend on integrations from its marketplace such as printing. A move would cost you more than it saves. Nexudus is built for that scale and Coworking OS is not.
How to switch without a risky cut-over
- Export members, cabins, plans and open invoices from Nexudus as Excel or CSV.
- Start a 30-day free trial with no card at app.coworkingos.in/signup and import the file in Members. You have 24 hours to undo an import.
- Set up centres, GSTIN, invoice series, payment gateway and WhatsApp with the set-up checklist.
- Run one billing month in parallel and compare the totals.
- Switch reminders over when the numbers match, and keep your Nexudus export as an archive.
Which Nexudus alternative is best for a small Indian space?
For 20 to 300 members, mostly on monthly rent, a rupee-priced tool with UPI, WhatsApp and GST built in usually fits best. Under about 15 members, Zoho plus a spreadsheet can be enough.
Is there a free Nexudus alternative?
Coworking OS has a 30-day free trial with no card, after which Starter is ₹1,999 a month plus GST. Spreadsheets are free in cash but cost hours every month.
Can I keep my member data if I leave Coworking OS?
Yes. Your data exports at any time.
